Many people do not know that Bola Tinubu did not actually win the 1998 AD gubernatorial primaries in Lagos. The primary election was won by Funsho Williams. Following the intervention of Chief Ayo Adebanjo and Chief Abraham Adesanya, who reviewed the results in Tinubu’s favour and resolved disputes arising from Ikorodu and Lagos Mainland, Funsho Williams stepped down for Tinubu.

@BOTAD01 Abacha was a dictator but he gave the West middle finger and held the economy down firmly. Inspite of all the sanctions from Western nations ,the economy was stable but not so much for availability of fuel cos of June 12 strikes by NUPENG and PENGASSAN.

I don't like Abacha at all but I have to give him credit for not lying to Nigerians about his real name and age and he never denied his biological parents at any point in time.

@agupard_a Other tribes who were part of the agitation for actualization of June 12 via NADECO had to back off when the noise from the Ronus bleating about Yoruba 'marginalization became deafening.

Why do these Ignorant Ronus think that NADECO was a Yoruba struggle, using it for their usual dog whistling? One-third of the leading and founding NADECO members were Igbos. Many of them lost their lives and livelihoods fighting for Abiola’s mandate and democracy:

@agupard_a The Ronus hijacked the struggle in the 90s and made it a Yoruba thing. There are some folks from other tribes who were part of the agitation then but most were Yorubas simply cos of Abiola not cos they were "Pro-Democrat" like they love to call themselves.
