Many of my friends have stopped doing NFT for several reasons: 1. Other people's successes Many people look at sales of a few thousand dollars and think this is expected of everyone, although, such sales are more the exception to the odds. And, when you're surrounded by very talented people who sell a lot of work every day, there's the pressure of "lack of success," and many of my friends have faced this. I think only one piece of advice works in this case: Do the best you can and follow your own path. Other artists' successes should only make you happy and motivate you, not make you depressed. 2. Lack of sales This is already a "classic". When an artist has only one source of income, sooner or later it will lead to depression. The way out is very simple, make different sources of income. I continue to design and make music as I did a few years ago, so there are no shocks for me, and every day brings me joy. I.e., just create other sources of income besides NFT. 3. Mismanagement of Twitter Oh, that was my mistake, too. I was taking Twitter the wrong way, I thought it was just like a selling point. And a lot of artists are still following that model. Publishing endless works with price tags and no artist behind them. Only six months ago, I seriously reconsidered my approach to maintaining my account and my number of followers doubled. People don't buy art, people buy the artist. Telling stories about yourself is cool, especially when you have a story to tell. 4. The artist's path is a long game You don't have to strive to make all the money in the world in two weeks. Why not just do what you like and enjoy the process? I've met a lot of cool dudes over the years in the NFT, we do collaborations, I write music, and I get to know new cool guys every day. So you have to take it as a long game. Behind cool art comes money. 5. Be Yourself We all wear masks, but sometimes behind the mask I do not see the artist. And besides, why endlessly play the serious man? If I'm not, why should I flirt with this form of presentation. For an artist not to be depressed and difficult, you have to speak out and stand up for your friends, that's my way. It's part of my identity. Anyway, thanks for the opportunity to express my thoughts on this. This topic bothers me because it hurts my friends. I try to help each of them. I remember everyone I'm with along the way.
