@Mike_kim714 Mike, do you think it would help if more Americans played DP World events prior to the next Ryder Cup? If that’s even possible that is.

I hope this finish doesn’t stop Team USA from looking at the entire process that led to the first two days. Clearly there are issues that need to be fixed.

@hutch_golf I think the analytics point is significant. Keegan saying they wanted the greens faster because Americans find it hard to adjust to the Open was surprising and telling

Some thoughts after spending all day yesterday at the Ryder Cup: 1. We need better chants. “USA! USA!” is obviously the GOAT, but Europe’s bench is so much deeper. Much like their actual team. 2. It’s easy to blame the captain when things don’t go your way, and there are a few very questionable choices Keegan made. I’d love to see more evidence the US is at least exploring the analytics because this is a big part of Europe’s advantage with Dodo Molinari. 3. But it probably doesn’t matter much when the other team is making putts from everywhere and you can’t seem to find the cup. 4. It’s hard to explain how nonexistent this rough is. If I had to guess, I’d say it’s maybe a tenth of a stroke penalty. Clearly an intentional choice, but it’s strange because US players do really well in majors with thick rough. At the very least, it’s something I hope they would have spent a lot of time exploring. 5. The decision to run it back with Morikawa and English is just… shocking

@hutch_golf Any thoughts on why the US President’s Cup team fares so much better? Analytics? Or just an even worse set up from the International team?

@4zim Yeah, I’m dying to know what the US analytics operation looks like, and how much it’s factored in to their decision-making

@joshlukenichols Going through your pre-shot routine/process as you spoke about in episode 2 of our new series. Even better if you hit a bad shot and go through the process again on the next shot

Elbow issues are the worst Been dealing with tennis elbow for 3 seasons now (I have tendinopathy). Done everything right in terms of rehab. Got tons of suggestions from others and just can't kick this thing. And to make matters worse, I'm getting golfer's elbow in my left one now. Not debilitating, I can still play. But it is just so so so frustrating.

Lowest Score Wins. This is the best for explaining complex concepts of target selection, practice, and parts of the game to prioritize to get better. Separation value was eye opening. Other books are more detailed, this one is more accessible for all. lowestscorewins.com

In my #golf journey to better than scratch I’ve read lots of books that have accelerated my path. These are the best in my opinion. Let me know what I missed. Leave no stone left unturned🧵

@GreenReaderApp hey, indownloaed your app and think it’s great! Is there any way to account for cases or the camera though? That is throwing off the level a bit I think

Had a great time re-introducing myself to Norfolk Golf & Country Club near Lake Erie in Southern Ontario, which is comfortably in the discussion for the best nine hole golf course in🇨🇦 (#2 IMO). The 3rd-5th is a ridiculous stretch of good golf—a must play for me.

At a time of physician shortages, primary care shortages, real impacts on Canadians and significant gaps and challenges in health care systems across the country, this kind of rhetoric from the Government should be questioned.
Jason Fischer@eUSMD

“Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland dismissed those complaints Tuesday, saying physicians are at the “very, very top” of the income scale and so can afford to pay more taxes.” #recruitment? #retention? #oma #cma #onpoli theglobeandmail.com/canada/article…

My cousin wants to get into golf and is asking about equipment. After looking around, the best deal I’m seeing may be this Callaway set at Costco for $549. I told him he could piece together a really solid used set for $1k but for a beginner, Costco is looking good. Advice?

@hutch_golf Whatever you can do consistently, especially when you have a busy job and family to take care of. I started doing kettlebell workouts. With the ‘armour building complex’ a couple times a week for 20 mins or so. So easy to program. Would highly recommend!

When I first started lifting in my early 30s I began with a very simple 5x5 program. As time went on I branched out and experimented with a whole bunch of different fitness areas (CrossFit, Olympic lifting, yoga, marathon running, etc). Over the last few months I’ve struggled to get back into a consistent routine, so yesterday re-downloaded the original 5x5 app I started with. Man, I know I learned a lot from all the different fitness paths I’ve gone down, but there’s a big part of me that wishes I had just stuck to a simple regimen of compound lifts 2-3 days a week. Even if I only added 1lb to my lifts per month, I’d be so much stronger than I am now. My goal now, as I near 40, is to not be having this same conversation with myself in 10 years. Squat, deadlift, push, pull, rotate with some Fit for Golf speed/power programming. Safe, consistent, predictable, boring progress. Rinse and repeat.
