@RailOpsGroup moved five coaches to Yarmouth today using HNRC’s 20901/905, so I popped out to Uffington to see them. Still great to see these locos, the design of which dates from 1957, in use on the main line in 2023.

@GBRailfreight 73969/971 arrive at Crianlarich in 26/4/22 with the delayed @CalSleeper 0450 Edinburgh-Fort William on 26/4/22. Nice to have two EDs and no 66 on the train!!!

The trackbed of the old Crianlarich to Dunblane line that closed in 1965. This is actually Crianlarich lower which was retained for freight into the 1980s but also has now been lifted. BRCW and NBL Type 2s (27s and 21s) would have plied this line. 26/4/22

Alongside @CalSleeper, we've named one of our Class 92 locos after the @RailwayHeritage as a thank you for supporting Caledonian Sleeper's major restoration project at Perth Station. A plaque was unveiled on the engine at London Euston today to celebrate the occasion.

22 May 08706 will work 3 additional shuttles from Shackerstone. You can ride on these trains, as well as the timetabled turn hauled by 20110 included in the normal fare. The 08 will operate between timetabled trains, approx 1205, 1335 and 1505 (exact times TBC) @BattlefieldLine

D3558 Class 08 update: Today we rebuilt the radiator shutters, first black coated the cab wasp stripes and carried out final preparations on the paintwork for next week’s final stages. There was even an impromptu gathering of O gauge Class 08s at tea break. ^CW

The answer is D5500; the first brush-mirrlees Type 2 (class 30) and the last to be rebuilt as a class 31!
