I'm not hooked on 400kgs, but I'd assume that without powerlifting, someone like Mark Henry (squatted 432kg) would've died from diabetic complications before or around this age, just like his father. He's outliving his genetics

Let me give my take on this. Larry can pick up running anytime and be able to complete a 100-meter sprint in 4-6 weeks. But no one can 6 weeks their way into a 400 kg deadlift.
