An observation from comments following the release of my farmland value studies last year.
The farmers receptive to the concept that farmland can drop 50% or more are 60 years of age and over.
The people who dismiss the concept, started farming or investing in farmland after 2007.

@Agridome @fordnation I should add there is an appreciation for the cooler morning temperatures that would be lost if the Province was to switch to Standard Time. IMO we have great benefits to DST.More demand on the grid for Air Conditioning power.

@Agridome @fordnation We people in Eastern Ontario will be Dark in December at 8:30 am if we only have Daylight Savings. We will be Light at 3:30 am in June if we are Year round Standard Time. Time change is a great ritual.

Received a note from an anonymous dairy farmer in Ontario this morning:
“You can tell it’s the end of the month when milk delivery trucks finish their routes early…”
And yet we’re told there’s no milk dumping. That disconnect is frustrating.
