In my opinion, the reason this game isn’t getting much attention right now is that there has been almost no marketing. Most game marketing tends to be concentrated around the launch, and this game did have a major marketing push when it was released as a PlayStation exclusive a year ago. Since marketing costs are higher than you might think, I don’t think they felt the need to invest heavily in it.

Maybe my love for this game is blinding my judgement but… is it just me or are these numbers on the low side ? This is legit one of the best games created this generation and maybe ever.. meanwhile a A.I boring slop fest of a game easily hits 100k +

Black Desert features civilizations such as Keplan, Duvencrune, and Ulukita that utilize machinery and highly advanced technology. While those new to the Crimson Desert might find the presence of trains in a medieval fantasy setting a bit jarring, the original setting itself is characterized by a mix of various civilizations.

@Maliykus Black Desert also features a setting involving a nation that achieved great prosperity before falling into ruin. Since the Crimson Desert shares the same universe as Black Desert, doesn’t that make perfect sense?

Someone needs to fill me in on this. Why are elements from totally different time periods just randomly mixed together in this game? Is there a convincing in-universe explanation for this or is it just some bullshit?

@SperanzaIntel This game needs items that players are willing to risk dying to obtain. Right now, there aren’t any such items. Blueprints are about the only things with any value, but that was only true during the game’s early launch; now, they’re mostly just handed out to anyone and everyone.

@Che_lea @SperanzaIntel So that's part of what makes a marathon. I really like that. Arc Raiders needs that kind of element, too.

@554M00 @SperanzaIntel 100. I actually think Marathon idea of a weekend map only for like really high gear player where the reward is insane loot, only obtainable there, but where the risk is huge, it is great.
