142 Hours played on Xbox, exclusively with Cross-play off.
I can find a game at any time of day, in any playlist, presumably on my servers if it’s instant. Ranked or Cryo Archive, it’s not only filtering players on Xbox but it’s filling lobbies at any time of day with time invested players.
My feed is filled with amazing fan art and I’ve had to sign up for restock notifications for merch as it’s all sold out on the Bungie store.
I just don’t think this game is half as dead as people want it to be.

@KingRichard How good is it as a solo player? I am a big ARC fan… but the devs seem to be purposely killing the game. Seems they grabbed the money and … developing 2 new games? What the heck.

I can't believe people aren't taking this time to play marathon. Arc needs time to develop new content and fix issues. That time is increased with them developing 2 new games, and internal issues. Marathon is literally 9.7/10 as an extraction shooter!

The Arc Raiders community is one of the worst in gaming. You know, Arc Raiders is pretty boring with zero endgame content, and all they ever talk about is numbers. In case you didn't know, numbers don't always determine the quality of something. In many ways, Marathon is better.

A lot of people concerned about the player base dropping. It’s normal. Those that don’t love it or have had their fill have moved on. What’s left is the core base that have the most value. It’ll go up and down in between major updates, but the core will remain, keeping the game, studio, and future very much alive.

This is what ARC Raiders is severely missing for lots of people
A true END GAME level map/experience. Something to truly challenge everything you’ve learned, requiring your best gear with a price to pay for entry
The Queen/Matriarch is cool, but still just doesn’t give that same vibe
But hey, they ARE two different games, so maybe ARC leaning more towards its adventure exploration aspect could be a good thing
I’m glad the two can coexist at least. Marathon is doing good shit though

We have seen some reports asking if the final exfil in Cryo Archive is not working because it does not show on the overhead map. Cryo Archive is the most dangerous place in Marathon, escape is not guaranteed. You will need to interact with the ship's systems before the timer runs out to make sure you can get off the ship alive. There is a final exfil but it's only a true last resort, not a reliable way off the ship. It is more elusive than typical final exfils on other less difficult zones, leading to more risk if players choose to take this option. It is hidden from the map and only gives you 60 seconds to find it.

@554M00 @SperanzaIntel 100. I actually think Marathon idea of a weekend map only for like really high gear player where the reward is insane loot, only obtainable there, but where the risk is huge, it is great.

I’ve played for nearly 300 hours myself, but I think the biggest problem with Arcraders right now is that there are no “valuable” items, which has completely stripped away the joy of gear farming—the very essence of an extraction shooter. Embark Studios has effectively nerfed most of the game’s weapons themselves, and since no matter what weapon you build, shooting it isn’t fun, there’s no reason to farm for gear anymore.
