@Robert_Macachek @Corndogdreams @citchmook You realize Thomas only played 65 games this year and has been over point per game for basically the last 5 years right? I agree the Wallstedt trade doesn’t make much sense, but Eriksson Ek is is 65 point Center, Thomas is another tier above that

Hey, I'm not saying we don't want him, just that he isn't the second coming of Gretzky. But he is a 65 pt center that wins 52% of his faceoffs. That is a really good NHL'er to be sure but I don't think that is star power. I am sure that he is able to dictate play for the Blues and is their "go to" guy and absolutely the Wild would love to have him but with salary concerns already mounting it just doesn't make sense. Wally has been in the picture pretty much all year. He has only played 10 less games than Hofer and they are pretty much identical in stats. I 100% agree that they trade makes no sense for either club.

Trading Wallstedt is the exact opposite of what Minnesota needs to do. Kid is going to be incredible for years to come. Don't trade him.

@DarrenDreger If development is her thing idk about that… Beniers, Kako, Tolvanen, Wright, Evans, Catton? I feel like all of them have plateaued, regressed, or struggled to become everyday NHL players so far. Don’t follow the kraken enough to know her coaching style

Jessica Campbell is a very good coach. Her development skills are evident in the players who have advanced from Coachella Valley to Seattle. Coaching staff changes happen every year and change is often a good thing for all. Campbell will find a new NHL home. She’s earned it.

@tomckeown_ @JFreshHockey I like Hagens but there is no guarantee he reaches Thomas’ level. And if it takes 5 years Pasta and McEvoy will be out of their primes. With the Bruins success this year they will be expected to make the playoffs moving forward but need a true 1C

@RogerSteeleJr Depends. The true desert courses that are target golf like Troon North are extremely difficult. The more wide open layouts like Talking Stick or Whirlwind play pretty easy

Can we all agree that Desert Golf is the hardest golf? Desert indexes travel better than James Harden.

@justparrott @RogerSteeleJr The top end, target courses, like Troon North are the hardest IMO. If your tee ball isn’t on a string all day you won’t score well. I do agree with you when it comes to our muni’s and more open courses like Talking Stick and Whirlwind. Those play pretty easy

@RogerSteeleJr I live in AZ. I say the opposite. Only thing that’s harder (literally) are the greens. Not nearly as receptive in AZ. But otherwise it’s easier IMO. And the ball goes further.

@J_Swish24 I’m surprised NHL teams are even supportive of their players going over to the World championships to risk injury for a meaningless tournament. Especially younger players who are trying to take their game to the next level in the offseason

The funny thing about how USA Hockey works is if you’re considered a “bubble guy” for the Olympic team or Four Nations you gotta agree to go play World Championships in a Danish village or some 2nd world city in Czechia after playing 82 games + pre season otherwise they (the suits) don’t think you “want it”. Maybe I just don’t want to play in a tournament that doesn’t really mean anything for the next 6 weeks and risk injury god forbid. Nut chugging at its finest. The best players should be selected even for an orientation camp and it shouldn’t be held against you if you’re a 8-10+ year National Leaguer and say no to WC. This might offend some people. @RiggsBarstool As a fellow STL native living in Scottsdale I can say driving accuracy at We-Ko-Pa is more important than 95% of Midwest courses. Honestly, Vinny was lucky he found as many balls as he did in the desert

@55stlblues It’s insanity. People see me play well and chalk it up to the course must be easy. Legit desert golf for someone who struggles off the tee is the hardest style of golf there is
