BREAKING: RED ALERT! A shocking new report just revealed that Trump and his allies are plotting to declare a state of emergency in order to steal the 2026 midterms!
The Washington Post is reporting that Trump allies have drafted and are circulating a 17-page executive order that would use bogus allegations that China interfered in the 2020 election in order to justify “extraordinary presidential power over voting,” including mandating voter ID and banning mail-in votes.
“Under the Constitution, it’s the legislatures and states that really control how a state conducts its elections, and the president doesn’t have any power to do that,” says Peter Ticktin, one of the people involved in the creation of the order.
“But here we have a situation where the president is aware that there are foreign interests that are interfering in our election processes. That causes a national emergency where the president has to be able to deal with it.”
A 2021 intelligence report found that China was considering getting involved in the 2020 election but decided against it.
Standing in the way of his order is the fact that the Constitution mandates that states, not the federal government, regulate elections, and it’s unlikely that any executive order would hold up in court…until it reaches the Supreme Court, at which point all bets are off and the Justices will get to decide whether or not we stay a democracy.
Even if this comes to pass, it’s not the end. But we need to be ready, and we need to be organized. If mail-in ballots get banned, we need to be ready to drive people to the polls. If voter ID gets passed, we need to be ready to help people get the IDs they need in time.
Nothing will stop us from taking back our country from this would-be dictator and his psychotic cronies!
