The supermarket chain has quietly removed all pointed blades from shelves nationwide, including popular chef’s knives, steak knives and utility blades. Morrisons says the move is designed to make it harder for knives to be used as weapons while still stocking safer, rounded-tip alternatives. The decision comes amid ongoing concerns over rising knife crime on Britain’s streets. Many people are saying it’s ridiculous, arguing can still be used to slash people and does nothing to stop determined criminals from getting knives elsewhere. Thoughts?
