Not going to lie, I think that Marathon is a decent game. Unfortunately the game requires a team of 3 gamers with higher than room temperature IQ and in this antisocial economy this may be rough for the casual player base. I hope it survives.

I just tried Marathon and only played for about an hour. My eyes sting from the burning insane choice of color pallets and vibrancy. Take away the initial learnings of understanding mechanics and what item does what, you're left with not being able to tell AI vs players. The UI in general is atrocious and horrible to navigate on and for the love of God can game companies stop booting games at 100% volume? As a big fan of the looter shooter extraction genre I have nothing more to add to Marathon at this time. Did I judge it too soon? What do you think?

Austin, Tx - A man who k*lled his neighbor during a shooting spree in Austin was found not guilty by reason of insanity - and has now been released from a state mental hospital. Charles Curry, a former Texas Capitol staffer who once worked for State Sen. Joan Huffman, fatally shot his neighbor before driving through Austin firing at others, including people on boats and motorists on a highway. Several additional victims were injured. A Travis County jury determined Curry was legally insane at the time of the attack, according to reporting from KVUE. Instead of prison, he was committed to a state psychiatric facility. On December 22, 2025, a signed court order transitioned Curry from inpatient confinement to outpatient, community-based supervision, effectively releasing him from the state hospital. Since his release, Curry has reportedly been contacting legislative staffers and lawmakers seeking employment and meetings, prompting heightened awareness at the Texas State Capitol. The Texas Capitol Police are said to be on alert. This is why so many in Texas will not claim Austin. It is preposterous that a man who admitted to a d*adly sh00ting spree, was found not guilty because of insanity, and is now back in the community under “supervision”.
