Common sense amnesty means a narrow, earned path, not a blanket pass. You’d qualify only if you’ve been here many years, came as a kid or put down deep roots, have a clean record, pay a fine and back taxes, and learn English. You get provisional legal status first, then a green card years later at the back of the line behind everyone who did it legally. And it’s paired with real enforcement like mandatory E-Verify and overstay tracking so we’re not doing this again in 20 years.

@RonDeSantis Usually agree with you, but I don’t on this one. Some of these folks are good people that were invited in (past administrations). A path that everyone can live with that gives amnesty and mercy is the best way to go.

As I said, clear different made very apparent in the admin this week.
Trump goes after China and Russia while Vance goes after Israel.
Trump and Vance are not on the same page. It doesn't help that Vance's friend, the guy for whom his son served as deputy comms, is daily trying to undermine the admin.

Real question and I don’t care who it pisses off, why should we vote for Republicans in November?
Mass deportations aren’t happening. Most of us are single issue voters on immigration and DHS under Markwayne has decided they would rather appease CNN and MSNBC.
Republicans won’t pass Save America, they won’t support the mass deportations we voted for. They haven’t done, frankly, jack shit outside of a tax cut extension.
So why? Why push Maine to vote for Susan Collins? Because at least she’s not an admitted communist? In the end, though, what’s really the difference?
Vote Republican, get Democrat policy anyway.
