I grew up in Southern California and when I arrived at my college campus in Northern California and told everyone where I was from they said “Oh… you’re from SOUTHERN California” with a raised eyebrow and a winced expression. I thought “HUH? I THOUGHT WE WERE ONE BIG HAPPY STATE?!” 😂🤣 deep down I knew they were just jealous, cause we can actually swim in our warm ocean and their’s is freezing cold.
