After three amazing years at @CommendaHQ, I’m gonna call it a day! When I think back to how this started, Spencer and I had one call, we knew we wanted to work together but didn’t know in what shape or form. He cut me a ticket to Bangalore the same day and said, “Just come, we’ll figure it out.” That moment set everything in motion, and it’s something I’ll always remember. From a 4 person WeWork cabin to a 45 member team. From $0 to over $2M in revenue.
From a handful of customers to a real global business. I’ll always be indebted to both @spenceraviav and @RealYaacov for taking a chance on me when I had very little experience and a lot to learn. They backed me fully, gave me ownership early, and pushed me in all the right ways. One of my favourite things Spencer ever said: “Shroff never asks for permission, only forgiveness.” That was the best part about working at Commenda, the permission to build, break, iterate, and keep fighting. Thank you to everyone at Commenda, each of you has played a role in shaping who I am today. The team has some of the brightest minds I’ve worked with, and the company is destined for great things.
