I am deeply saddened by the passing of Irene Nakibuuka who was abducted a day after elections, taken to an unknown place until recently when she was dumped with wounds and bruises. I struggle to hold tears back imagining the pain she must have endured from the time of her abduction to her passing. The mental and physical torture. The emotional trauma that probably led to her disappearance from hospital. It is heartbreaking to think that Irene may not have seen any light at the end of the tunnel. My prayer and hope is that one day, the perpetrators will be brought to justice. 𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐌! For now, rest in power Irene.
