@AntonyJBrown @AlexJPMiller Ok, maybe not properly worded but you know what I mean. Why should it affect the new owners when it was put in place because the old owner wouldn't/couldn't pay wages etc. Ok cap wages but don't stop them buying players.

@SheffieldStar The transfer embargo currently in place should be withdrawn when the new owners take over as they were restrictions on the old owner due to him not paying wages.

As per some comments, sources suggest Mike Ashley has always been seen as a “backstop option” by the #SWFC admins - he’s still a possibility that can’t be entirely discounted amid time pressures. But I believe the Storch group deserve backing to complete.

@SWFCTrust The problem is that the EFL say that all 72 clubs agreed to these regulations, however that's not the club but the owner of those clubs agreeing and they're not going to disagree something that's not in their favour. 🤷

The club is now in administration with the prospect of new ownership and a chance to rebuild. Imposing further punitive sanctions that could effectively cause a second successive relegation would not punish those responsible. It would punish supporters and a new ownership group trying to rescue the club. #SWFC

@WTIDPOD And that's the issue those same owners are the ones that sign off on these EFL regulations so they're not going to make a role that gives them nothing if they fuck up because they don't care what happens with the club as long as they get something back from failure.

Steve gets it bang on. An owner that failed across the board in every aspect shouldn’t then be seen to receive over £10m and also subject the club to further misery.
