My reply to someone considering starting a video game company: The distribution of possible rewards for starting a video game company are generally not very good today. The market is well served, and gaining a foothold requires strong execution on both business and product issues, along with a substantial amount of luck. Plan to burn through seven figures with a not-great chance of making it back. If you do go for it, some bits of advice: Identify your customers clearly before you start. Not just a broad community, but specific people, and imagine them as you make decisions. Initially, build the smallest, most concise game you can imagine anyone paying for. It will still take much longer than you expect. Once something exists, hill-climb the value. Hopefully you will have some elements that clearly bring joy to people, which you can magnify. There will inevitably be tons of things that people find confusing, frustrating, or just boring that you will need to fix.

after 2 months of studying hard i went to a Japanese instance in vrchat and im proud to say... boy i was way out of my league, like not even close. no idea what they were saying, cool people tho.

@learning_yohei When speaking to my British friends I use American English and they use British English. You can use either, the words basically mean the same thing.

Ok so the prop stuff. Ive added 2 repos to the LPD tools VPM thingy. One is a utilities thing, lotta cool functions in there, but the other is the prop system itself. still working on the examples package though. But its out now so people can start creating with it. Link below

My flick keyboard inspired flashcards prefab is basically done. Just need someone to go verify all the kanji is correct. Its entirely local so everyone in a space can use it to study but might make a synced version later. I do need to work on the controls in vr more.

Got sidetracked from the prop stuff and started working on some flash cards to help me learn kana better. I really liked the flick system on mobile keyboards.
