@BCFerries @JrdLnd You need ferry staff at the end of the line. You need signage. You need one lane for standby and one for reservations starting much further back on the hwy. This is not 🚀 science.

@JrdLnd Hi there. There will be Ferry staff in the lanes leading down to the ticket booths sorting traffic into reserved and unreserved lanes. This usually works well at Horseshoe Bay. There's just an unprecedented number of folks trying to travel standby today. ^cg

@BCFerries In the last 10 mins we just got up to the booth and straight onto the 8:25 ferry. We have a reso. For some crazy reason they still have two booths processing non-reservation holders and one for reservations. Ferry still had lots of room. Clearly way behind schedule.

@ron_usher @BCFerries Usually, but they’ve buggered it up this time. Both lanes into the terminal backed up way down the highway. No staff in sight.

They also sort traffic for the three different ferry routes. More complex at this time due to construction work

@BCFerries I have a reservation. How do I get to the terminal? Why are there no BC Ferries employees at the end of the line? Directing traffic? Why did you not save an open lane for reservation holders?

@BCFerries Thanks for the reply. FYI, the line-up is 850m long and your Current Conditions does not indicate that they are shuttling. Is it? I’d guess this is at least a 4 sailing wait.

@BCFerries How is the traffic at #hornbyisland? Is the ferry shuttling? Your new camera is a nice idea, but the placement means viewers have no idea how far the line goes up the hill.
