Thanks for the benchmarks, helpful context. Our model’s R² to Team Win % is 0.803, well above Adjusted RPI, KPI, and DSR. We focus not just on correlation, but on capturing true performance drivers and maintaining stability across team profiles.
In addition, we’re always wanting to make it better. Would love your help if you’d be willing.

Not sure what the optimal R^2 would be to Team Win Pct. However as an FYI, Adjusted RPI Rank has a R^2 to Team Win Pct of .7020, KPI Rank has a R^2 to Team Win Pct of 0.7445 and DSR Rank has a R^2 to Team Win Pct of 0.6862.

How to adjust for the quality of competition? We add in SOS, and our weighted metrics include individual performances, but is it differentiating the poles enough?
