Een dag friet bakken voor kinderen bij Pavlograd We stonden met onze frietwagen in een klein dorpje bij Pavlograd waar zo’n 200 voornamelijk vluchtelingen werden verwacht, waarvan de meesten kinderen. Dankzij het prachtige weer kwamen er uiteindelijk veel meer mensen opdagen, ruim 350. Gelukkig hadden we genoeg friet en snacks bij. Het lukte ons met de frietwagen om er voor te zorgen dat het een bijzonder leuke middag werd. Even weg uit de oorlogssfeer. Er werd volop genoten van friet, kipcorns en ribsters (voor ons een nieuwe snack) en we hadden drinken en nog iets lekkers erbij. Maar misschien nog wel belangrijker, er werd gelachen, gepraat en voor even alle ellende vergeten. Voor ons misschien iets gewoons, maar voor hen een mooie herinnering die er echt toe doet.
