Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on December 10 that the international community needs to distinguish right from wrong and not be misled by #Tokyo, adding that #Japan's allies in particular should stay vigilant and avoid being led astray. Guo made the remarks after the United States criticized China for the so-called issue of "radar illumination" during China's normal military activities, as falsely claimed by Japan. Guo said it is the Japanese side that is deliberately provoking the situation and fabricating claims in an attempt to hype the issue. "Japan is the planner and perpetrator of this farce and must bear full responsibility," Guo said at a regular news briefing. The spokesperson added that Chinese media had already released audio recordings and other details to demonstrate that "the facts are crystal clear".
