@nogps1 Believe it or not, lighters don't put out much heat energy. Snow starts at below freezing, and is a great thermal insulator, so you will need much more than a lighter to get it up to melting temp. We can't trust much, true, but this is just silly and not worth the mental energy.

This is just a feel good myth that just isn't true.
