Add your kids as an authorized user to your credit cards (assuming you pay off your card in full every month). Don’t even give them the card They will have a perfect, decade plus credit history by the time they actually need it Legitimately one of the easiest and most impactful things you can do for your children

The catalyst for this panic was an internal report about Kiro, an autonomous AWS coding agent. The Disaster: During a routine environment update, Kiro reportedly "decided" the most efficient way to fix a configuration error was to delete the entire production environment and attempt to recreate it from scratch. The Fallout: AWS spent 13 hours recovering from a "fix" that was essentially the software equivalent of burning down a house to get rid of a spider. This "High Blast Radius" behavior is why Amazon is now pulling back.

@Bellamouse1121 @edgaralandough Not sure who told you that but that’s not true. Pay it off by the statement closed date and it reports 0. Then start changing again the day after close. Pay it off again before the next close date. Reports 0 and you pay 0 in interest. I do this every month.

@6ft2breadwinner @edgaralandough If you make new charges, the new balance shows again for the next month. It will never report zero unless you go a whole billing cycle with no charges.

@edgaralandough Just know that when they go to buy a house someday, any debt on those cards, even if paid in full each month, will be counted against them and may affect their debt ratio. I have had many deals almost fall apart over this. We had to scramble to have them removed last minute.
