First day for year 12! They’ve had a lot of fun this morning meeting form tutors and doing team building activities 😁❤️

Kamil commences his Degree Apprenticeship in Digital Solutions with Airbus, following his AABC in maths, D&T, computer science and Welsh Bacc. Kamil went up against thousands of other applicants to secure this role. We're honoured to have supported him through the application! 🎉

Annie was unable to collect her results in person as she has started her scholarship at university in the USA! Our head student achieved A*AAB in PE, maths, biology and Welsh Bacc. Anhygoel Annie! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🎉

Elinor will study Pharmacy at Cardiff University after attaining AAAB in biology, mathematics, chemistry, and the Advanced Welsh Baccalaureate. Bendigedig! Have a great time Elinor! 🎉🎉🎉

Lili heads north to the University of Leeds after an incredible A*AAB in sociology, maths, Welsh Bacc and history! She will study mathematics and philosophy. Gwaith ardderchog Lili! 🎉🎉🎉

Callum is incredible, he achieved A*AAAA in maths further maths, physics, D&T AND Welsh Bacc. In addition, he also continued to train hard with his fencing career and gained a coaching qualification! He goes on to study Financial Mathematics at the University of Nottingham. 🎉🎉

Milly will be heading off to the University of Edinburgh to read History after her hard work in achieving AAAA in chemistry, history, English literature and Welsh Bacc! Bendigedig Milly!!! 🎉🎉🎉

Rowan achieved an incredible A*AAA in geography, maths, chemistry and Welsh Bacc. They go on to study Environmental Science at Lancaster University. Ardderchog! 🎉🎉🎉

Katy achieved AAAB in maths, further maths, D&T and Welsh Bacc. She will study maths at Lancaster University. Lily achieved AAAA in chemistry, biology, maths and Welsh Bacc. She fulfils her dream of becoming a doctor by studying medicine at Keele University. 🎉🎉🎉 Anhygoel!

Katy had done amazingly in securing her place on the @PwC sponsored degree at the University of Nottingham following her AAAB in maths, business, chemistry and Welsh Bacc. Bendigedig! @UniNottinghamIC

Huge congratulations to these two who both studied chemistry, maths, physics, and Welsh Bacc! Hannah will study Chemistry with a year in industry at University of Bristol, after achieving AAAA. Erin goes on to the University of Manchester, to study medicine after achieving AAAB.

We’re having a great time at @LJMU for a university taster session!! We’ve learnt all about student life, societies and had a biology taster session.

Yesterday we had the most wonderful Leavers' Assembly for year 13 ❤️ they received their subject awards, form tutor awards and we had a look back at their time here from the past seven years. What a fantastic group of young people! We can't wait for Leavers' Dinner next week 🧑‍🎓

As a sixth form we don't just push UCAS, we also help students write CVs, letters of application and support apprenticeship routes. Huge congratulations to Kamil for securing a digital solutions degree apprenticeship with Airbus; you'll be fantastic!✈️ @AirbusCareers

We are delighted to announce that The Rotary Club and Hawarden Community Council will again be sponsoring two of our students to participate in a week's Leadership Course at Arthog Outdoor Centre in August. Students did excellently in their interviews! 🥳

It was a pleasure to attend the Hawarden Community Council Presentation Event on Monday. Seven students have been selected to receive a HCC Bursary, which will support them with university costs, each year, for the duration of their course! We are hugely grateful to HCC 🫶

Most A level exams commence this week and we just wanted to take the opportunity to wish all our students the best of luck! Don't be nervous, you got this! 🤞🙌
