@lixirlai saw some really beautiful fanart and i was like “wow what book is this from?” found out, realized i’d read it, hated it BUT THEN i noticed the author posted it and i was like that doesn’t look like how the mmc is described. bro she whitewashed her own mmc 😭😭

@jegaevi this is great! i still use storygraph for tracking but i never understood why people felt the need to make it so competitive and like a task that needs to be completed. i don’t care about streaks, number of books read, i dont even rate books anymore and its awesome.

I stopped tracking my reading on Storygraph. I just pick up my ereader and read whatever I feel like at the moment. It feels very liberating. I was so fed up with reading streaks, goals, monthly wraps and all that. Now I just read. No pressure, no goal, no shame.

how do you rate books you feel indifferent towards ? like if i really enjoyed or hated a book it’s easy to rate because even if it was bad imo it still made me feel something. idk how to rate a book that didn’t make me feel anything. not good or bad things literally just nothing

@Haruchan_desu6 i got into it after the pandemic but i kept it away from me for a long time until my fiance showed me good ones. i had a bad experience with hentai and very provocative anime when i was really young which is why i was weary of it for so long.

I have a certain dislike for people who got into anime during the pandemic...

@bhnso just finished my first for the month a few minutes ago. it took me longer than i thought and it was mid so i think im in more of a slump 😭

2 weeks into april and STILL haven’t finished any books

april is going to be such a hard month for me bc EVERYTHING IS HAPPENING. 5 book releases, 2 movies, 4 birthdays, AND i’m supposed to save up for a cat sitter and vacation money 😭😭
