I don't blame Connor for taking offence with that question. Steve Yzerman was ostracized for never winning the big one, too, when he was 30, and folks tagged him as a poor captain. Five years later, after he'd won three Cups, that sentiment looked mighty foolish. McDavid is only 29, and could play another 15 years if he wants to - he's that good. Whether it’s a penalty or not, the refs arm did not go up until Mackinnon embellished it. It should have been 4 on 4.
