The issue that lies with many deconstructions is that they fail to realize that deconstruction is only half the process. They need to then rebuild it into either
A) something just as good as the original but in a different way.
or
B) something even better.
Most modern attempts at this either don’t do that step at all or fail to achieve even A. The only example I can think of recently that did B is Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.

The premise sounds like a deconstruction of the original story, and I'm not gonna lie, I'm tired of deconstructions. I'm not gonna say they shouldn't ever be done, but I've seen enough of them done badly lately that I just want to enjoy things as they are.

@NakedPrimalist @DarkEnzo0309 @stroggster Nah a story can have inconsistency and only somehow put together so long as it also has great, complex and interesting characters like Vega and Hayden. When it loses the characters, it finally lost me. Besides Eternal doesn't have to be Doom if you don't want it to be.

I found it rediculous that you are trying to disqualify others from talking about Doom's lore because no matter how hard you try to tell me "it's not that inconsistent you just didn't pay attention", Hugo is still gonna eat his own word in front of you. Happened to me in TAG2.
