Waymo uses remote drivers. That's why they haven't scaled past 700 cars in 13 years. Its also why they can't be used on the free way (latency on 5G is too slow to take over without crashing). Until they ditch Lidar and use AI, they will not make it -- just burning Google's money. IMO

I believe Alphabet will spin out Waymo in the next 2-4 years, with a potential valuation of $350B to $850B by 2030, which could add between 12-28% to $GOOG's current market cap, depending on Alphabet's ownership percentage.
