He thinks “strength” means “power,” and thus rationalizes his own weakness as merely an absence of real power, acquisition of which would be a major sin. He believes his weakness is a virtue. This is absolutely typical of Hollywood writer types. This is why they write stories featuring jocks as low IQ meatheads, when in reality most of the great men of history were both athletes and intellectuals (Plato and Nixon as two great examples millennia apart). They misunderstand “blessed are the meek” as “blessed are the weak.” People like Kripke cannot believe in real strength and real courage because *they* could never feel it. He can’t even imagine it. All those strong and brave men are, secretly, just as chicken shit as he is. The only thing separating Kripke and Audie Murphy is that Audie Murphy had power—or something like that. I don’t care about this show, never have watched a single episode, and have never understood the appeal. But everything I have seen and heard of the showrunner leads me to believe without any doubt that he is the most dangerous kind of person—an utterly weak and cowardly man that cannot even imagine being a stronger and braver one. Be very wary of weak men.

@minimamah The only thing it makes me is incredibly hungry and somewhat apathetic, almost like a void of emotion, which is great bc I tend to smoke to not be angry, or not be anxious, or not be scared, etc. if I'm worrying about a future problem too much, time to take my mind off it!

@7inchesofAUTISM being stoned all day every day made me incredibly anxious, and i hear demons love to feed on that sort of energy. ironically, im much calmer on a daily basis without weed. a break is worth a try! i do miss the weed/adderall combination but that also gave me turboanxiety.

@7inchesofAUTISM God made weed so i assume it's fine in moderation, or as treatment. all my plans for the next couple decades just involve childcare or being pregnant. doesn't fit with the path I've been set on.

@minimamah For me, stopping smoking would involve rapidly developing a suite of emotional regulation coping mechanisms. Internally I justify my vice via a firm determination that "it wouldn't be here for me to use if I wasn't meant to". But I also know I should use it less.

@7inchesofAUTISM im personally responsible for a child 24/7 + my husband and i were both straight up addicted to weed and alcohol. it was particularly difficult for us to stop smoking weed. if i could trust myself to not abuse weed and didn't have so many responsibilities it would be different.
