Happy St Patty’s Day! 🍀 I should be planting potatoes today, but we have a high of 38 degrees today. Instead I'll bake some shepherd's pie and fresh bread. Tomorrow is supposed to be almost 70, so I'll get my prepped potatoes in the ground after work tomorrow 🥔

@AveryLawson813 I am just learning about the MTHFR mutation that causes severe reactions to people with that gene when they take Folic Acid. It's in EVERYTHING. It must be methylated for proper absorption. Fascinating subject all around. The Big Pharma has been killing us.

Our very first ever planted fruit tree is flowering! Gave it a nice pruning job about a month ago and it is very strong and healthy. So excited for the folks that buy our house in Eureka to have this beauty when we move to the farm full time! 🥰

First time making pork bone stock from our hogs that we processed last fall. Blanched the bones, roasted the bones and now they’re in the crock pot with veggies and spices for the next 18-24 hours. Super excited! Beef stock is next from the bones of our last whole cow!

I've been working my husband like a dog on the farm lately, so I've got to bribe him with deliciousness, or he might make a run for it. He added to the chick area and built extra hut today. Also, expanding my garden so we can grow even more goodies on the farm. Love this man 😂

@GlennaRyan16 Tastes like beef if cooked correctly. The ground is exactly like burger, but emu is a very lean red meat so the steaks and roasts take a little extra care.

My daughter wanted to listen to Bohemian Rhapsody (LOUD) as it’s been one of her favorites for around 15 years. Don’t Stop Believing came on next and right as the song finished, #42 finished hatching out of its shell. It was so epic! Welcome to the world, little one! 🥰
