i wanna talk about how “mood” can really affect a writer’s motivation to write.
As writers, lagi kaming nagiisip. Di naman namin sinasadya. Naiisip namin stories namin, mga stories na gusto namin isulat, yung random fun fact na nalaman namin na biglang naging prompt. Etc.
So in an ideal world, we would almost always be writing. Kase outlet sya nung never ending thoughts namin.
Pero there is life and responsibilities and deliverables and sad days and tired days and days when the idea of pushing anything more out your brain sounds like the worst thing in the world. That’s physical energy.
Then there’s also times na you feel unsure, you doubt, you overthink, you complicate, you compare, etc. That’s mental energy.
So when you say things like pwede mo bang bilisan kase yung current na sulat mo di ko trip, or wala pa bang update? Honestly nakaka demotivate sya. Kase in an ideal world magsusulat kami. Kase gusto talaga namin sana. Pero our physical and mental exhaustion sometimes outweigh our desire to create.
And I’m not saying this to guilt-trip or to invalidate yung personal preferences nyo; I’m saying this so that you can be a little more mindful about what you say to the authors of stories you’re getting for ✨free✨
Surely asking you to think before you speak isn’t too much to ask, right?

You’re reading the story for free, by the way. If you hate narrations, stop reading. There are parts that are meant to be expressed through narration. It’s more creative. I put time and effort into those, even if I know some people just skim. You don’t own the story. You don’t get to tell me what to do with my own piece. As much as I try to ignore it, comments like this are honestly annoying. I know you don’t fully read narrations, but straight up disregarding something that’s an important part of the story is just disrespectful. :/ I plan to update more, but this kind of thing really pisses me off.
