@vad3rt3sla Empty parking lot... Piss poor. I think this version's a little more herky-jerky than the last one. My car is like a rocket on wheels but merging into traffic at an intersection is painfully timid, like an 80-year-old woman.

@aelluswamy I love the product. But how many times in that 12 billion miles did a human stop the FSD from making a mistake?

Using FSD is far safer than driving manually, as measured over 12 billion miles of its use. Safer by a margin of 2x the miles between collisions! It can do so, because, FSD is trained on corner cases extracted from more than a 1000 lifetimes of driving. It has learnt to accurately predict the probability of collision even for crazy cases such others running red lights, swerving into us, kids running into roads and such. Do watch the full video for some highlights. A no-brainer way to significantly improve your and your family's safety is to get a Tesla with FSD. It also completely takes the stress out of driving. Not saying this just because I work at Tesla, rather that it's genuinely a great product already and is continuing to get even better.

@HCGNYC @wholemars All those safety statistics are garbage when you have to have a human backing it up and keeping it for making the worst mistakes.

I think a fair critique would be that Tesla has with their current version of FSD a product that makes roads significantly safer. Proven by actual data to be 7x safer than a human driven car. If the goal is to make our roads safer then Tesla shouldn't delay aggressively rolling out Robotaxis until a superhuman version of the software is ready. The current version is already safer than a human. Accidents will unfortunately happen even under the most ideal scenario. We know the mainstream media will exploit any incidents but that won't shutdown their progress, especially with data showing how many fewer accidents result.

@Tesla I find it way more stressful than driving myself because I have to sit there and wait for it to make a mistake or as I know what I'm doing all the time. When it's unsupervised the statement will be true.
