The Memorial Day Holiday Travel Period is still underway, and overnight, DUI arrests across Georgia increased from 89 to 185. That’s 185 impaired drivers removed from Georgia roadways in less than 48 hours.

Flash flood warning in Atlanta

@Fox5KevynStew We’re preparing for more rain by making sure drains stay clear. Yesterday’s flooding cause was a mix of drought‑hard soil, an isolated downpour, and too much rain in too short a time. We’re doing everything we can maintenance wise.

@J_J_MilkMan Thanks for the feedback. There is a lot of ground to cover. Also a good reminder trash debris has to go somewhere, and when folks contribute to litter on a roadway it can end up causing issues.

Maintenance isn’t being done on a regular basis, anyone who drives the metro highways can see that debris isn’t picked up. Yea it was exceptional rainfall that the system could handle if maintained properly. 💭 buy more sweeper trucks if you can’t get your maintenance employees to maintain
