CFD FEA MBD are some sim tools relevant in engine design. Those have absolutely nothing to do with the DiL simulator, which as I mentioned is just a validation/operations optimization tool. It's the last line of simulation done before the car goes out on track. I think its reasonable to assume, relative to all the other offline sims happening, the overlap between engine dev. and the DiL is rather small in comparison.
This is just 1/3rd of what needs to be done well to build a good PU. The most important thing is to engineer well. Have good ideas that work.
And I can almost assure you Ferrari has a bad PU because their initial project was too ambitious, and they didn't give themselves enough time to sort all of its issues within the time they had.

There is a ton of source material out there for you to understand that what you are saying is silly.
You have a fundamental misunderstanding of how vast simulation is in this business. 90% is offline, nothing to do with the DIL simulator.
DIL is a validation tool. The part you are insinuating is somehow responsible for the fact the team has a bad engine.
It's like putting the blame on the scale when you are overweight.

@brakeboosted @mokaleclerc Thing is he’s right the engine is made in the simulator?

Toto Wolff, nice person, should invite him soon
Daniel Valente 🏎️@F1GuyDan
Toto Wolff went scorched earth here. “So, just get your shit together. Doing secret meetings and letters and inventing ways of testing which don’t exist…” “Maybe we’re all different, maybe you want to find excuses before you’ve even started.”

@808ss16 @SteadyHearn @Nkprivv0 that was about race pace, his qualy pace is not accurate either but since people are trusting any bullshit because it suits their agendas i'm doing the same

@doumbelewis @Nkprivv0 You must feel so embarrassed you had to start using holiness data because Udi (who you always use) doesn’t back your agenda

I’m growing more concerned about the 2026 car regulations by the day. I am afraid the FIA has ventured down an untenable path that won’t accomplish the goals.
- no solution for ride heights in wet or changeable weather races and movable aero… there’s honestly nothing they can do to solve this issue.
- 30% aero downforce reduction aims, but with a non-commensurate reduction in size and mass… does not produce better racing. We think the cars now look lazy and struggle with direction change? Just wait…
- reduction in physical contact patch size and overall Tyre diameter… meaning likely excessive pressures will remain, but with less contact patch, which will hinder mechanical grip and exacerbate the low speed challenges without enough reduction in mass to compensate, and extremely peaky ERS power coming from more deployment than the current engines
I fear these cars are going to produce little more than PU management battles when it comes to “racing”, rather than pure racecraft, and that they’ll slide around like they’re on skates at a level that is unbecoming of the top tier of Motorsport.
I sincerely hope I’m wrong, but the FIA must react swiftly to salvage things if this proves a disastrous start to the cycle - and to me, it’s looking as if that’s going to be likely.

@Rolando_tillit @the_zb_ It varies from circuits but general value should be 2 tenths
English

@Rolando_tillit @the_zb_ Agreed I get your frustration but yuki recently hasn’t been impressing so it’s worth to get someone else in the seat.
English

@808ss16 @the_zb_ That Tsunoda is trash and doesn't belong in F1. I take that personally, because it's not a fact. If it's true then LeClerc probably doesn't deserve a seat either, as he's crashed out several times, in qualifying and in the race from the lead. Obviously no one doubts he belongs.
