@jeglikerkatter2 @EricRichards22 @GSVBemusementPk As someone who has had to do both in the same job, it’s easier to spin something up in excel or power query if it just needs to be quick and dirty. Not every framework spits out a neatly formatted csv.

@EricRichards22 @GSVBemusementPk Excel isn't even essential (unless you're a retarded boomer or your company is run by retarded boomers). CSV parsing in python or pretty much any other programming language gets the job done way better.

Real life hobbies are much more fulfilling than spending all your free time at home staring at a screen. I’ve tried both… Real life activities are much more fulfilling. Periods where I spent all my free time gaming made me depressed. We are men! We aren’t built to sit around all the time.

I'm in a Caffe place playing switch 2 then a random person comes up and says: "Aren't you too old for that gaming shit" Crazy how people still look down on gaming today 💀

@BverJo @AlanRMacLeod ? So now we’re moving the goalposts from “inherently non-capitalist” to “kinda against a specific interpretation of “pure” capitalism”. Because it only counts as capitalism if all adults can “legally” own capital, or something?

I do not deny that, but I do uphold the obvious. That a human who is pure capital, has no capital because any capital he might seem to own, is essentially his master's capital. I also distinguish this in two categories, legally and practically e.g. Joseph was master over all of Egypt, only subservient to Pharaoh. This means that in "practice" Joseph had proprietorship over Egypt, and people again had proprietorship over their own households or land, but only Pharoah had absolute "legal" capital. Many have for all "practical" intents and purposes a right to capital, but not necessarily in terms of a "legal" right to said capital in every system. I don't believe an absolute and pure Capitalist state has ever been observed, but has become more pure in recent history due to the industrial revolution. Does that make sense?

Another bad week looming for Chris Hipkins? The Labour leader told Ryan Bridge Today that the government is raking in hundreds of millions of dollars from the fuel price GST. Google AI claims it's only $48 million, raising questions about trusting Labour in a crisis

@eaccocortex @StatisticUrban whose term were the factories torn down during? because the jobs probably went around the same time (i.e. factory workers without factories), unless something else was at play.

At the federal level, I'd argue Democrats are actually pretty decent at balancing this. Clinton and Obama were extraordinary orators, and even Biden had streaks of it. "Talk like a populist, govern like a technocrat." But at the state/local level.... fairly disastrous.

@AlanRMacLeod Slavery is inherently non-capatilist. Don't get me wrong I am not hating on either of the systems, merely making a factual observation that capatilism expects capital as payment.

"Define "word"" used to give you all definitions of a word. Now it gives you a 5 paragraph small model AI overview for a meaning of the word you didn't even want, and no alternative definitions. That was my most used Google search feature.

@Nintendeal @JuiceMan_V I use the Pro Controller 1 so YMMV, but when I have dry slippery hands I just breathe on them for a few seconds and that fixes my controller grip issue.

@JuiceMan_V my only real complaint about the Pro Controller 2 is how smooth it is.. it's borderline slippery if your hands are dry (and I don't mean like DRY dry, just normal dry) I do kinda wish it had those sick ass triggers but I'd rather have the battery life

People calling this racism, but the answer is A LOT simpler and self evident. Money. Hot girls figures just sell more, much more. Dimitri is an anomaly of an overwhelmingly popular male character so he got one even before Edelgard, but otherwise, while Claude is more popular-

Do you ever think about how they released scales of Edelgard, Dimitri and HILDA? Not Claude? Not the third MAIN CHARACTER from their game with three main characters?

@TheMG3D also, the difference between a tool and AI is that AI literally outsources creativity. a pencil doesn't do that.

Artists can literally make art with anything. AI bros wouldn’t be able to “create” anything without stealing from others. I can use my fingers to draw a picture in the dirt if all the tools we used went away, could you say the same?

@somedeepstuff1 @DriveBikeWalk @michael_wiebe that makes no sense. whether or not they're exaggerating about the throughput is a separate discussion, but how are they influencing what you think a bike lane looks like when it's in use?
