Just like real hockey, sometimes you have a team get hot and perform better than their actual skill level. The odds of it happening are incredibly low, but there is still a chance. Whereas an all-star team is much more likely to actually see a perfect season but there's still a chance they don't.

@Proficiency_ if it makes you feel better, I still haven't won a game but i can tell from the stats that roughly 1% of seasons complete have made the perfect season

@44hagenz .@84and0 has whatever the opposite of recency bias is. You pretty much need a team entirely composed of old-timers to get a perfect season. I call BS!

Yesterday we crushed the 1,000,000 seasons played. That's a lot of hockey.

The only other point worth knowing is that sure, Wayne Gretzky has 99 overall rating, but that's primarily because his attack is 99. His defense is quite low compared to a Bergeron who would have a pretty high attack and a pretty high defense. Two-way players can help in both regards. That also applies for defensemen.

@84and0 How does this make sense. Teams added to 555 overall make 84-0 but one that adds up to 561 doesn’t?
