@DJSnM Do you think those were explosive hold down bolts firing from the landing leg tips into the steel deck?

@DJSnM Did you spot the brief drone footage of the flight six ship floating on the sea in the footage SpaceX released today? Would love to see more of that!!

Superheavy Flight 7 will include actual deployment of Starlink simulators. I really hope they put cameras on one of these. Not only would it be great to see the ship in orbit, but the vehicle could incorporate a roll maneuver to survey the heat shield.

@CSI_Starbase I’d expect the risk of damage to the tower from any RUD on the pad would be minimal (or at least far less) at the top of the tower compared to the bottom, therefore possibly allowing the top couple of sections to remain hollow if not required to be as robust as those at the base

@CSI_Starbase Brilliant article Zack! I originally thought it would make sense to fill the columns with concrete but haven’t seen anyone confirm it till now. That being said, could they possibly have left the top column sections of the tower hollow to allow for possible future extension?

@DJSnM …. We became involved after god knows how many years later when the roof of the garage caved in exposing the heavily corroded canisters to the rain. Needless to say when the fire service arrived and tried to put out the fire it didn’t exactly help!!!

A widow was worried about her deceased husband’s collection of chemicals, hazmat people began carefully clearing out the basement. And then they found the dynamite. A stock of dynamite that had been inherited from the husband’s father….. ksltv.com/639989/hollada…

@DJSnM I worked on a job a few years ago when a guy in the uk had salvaged thousands of canisters of sodium metal from a closing down foundry. He had stockpiled them in a garage of a house he owned and seemingly forgot about them…

@realDavidDuffy @interesting_aIl They rotate about a point that is somewhere between the earth’s centre and the surface. Therefore, centrifugal/centripetal forces ‘fling’ out the water on the opposite side of the earth to the moon, causing the opposing tide.

@realDavidDuffy @interesting_aIl Tyson is wrong to detail it as the sun pulling the other side. The high tide on the opposite side of the moon is caused because the earth and moon rotate around a point that is not exactly at the centre of the earth…

@Erdayastronaut @elonmusk @SpaceX …had to be internally lined with something, but it would be an amazing sight to see once covered in rust, and somewhat foreshadowing in appearance to it’s intended destination! Could the rust layer bring any thermal advantages for re-entry?

@Erdayastronaut @Erdayastronaut I’d love for you to do a feasibility study on whether @elonmusk would be interested in, the properties would allow, and if @SpaceX could adapt to build a Starship and Superheavy out of Corten steel instead of stainless. I imagine using it would mean the tanks……

How do I always do this? Five months ago I started a script that I thought would be nice and quick… well it already split up into two videos (orbit vs suborbit), which is a precursor for this next one, which as of today is… 15 pages long and still going😳🤦‍♂️ oh well, it’s a super fun topic that you’ll have to wait and see! 😉 but meanwhile I’m thoroughly enjoying diving into a really fun video while listening to @sigurros and enjoying some beautiful views 👌(yes, the script is intentionally blurry to avoid spoilers and keep you on the edge of your seats) 😉
