Through the process of recording on camera scenes for my episodes over the past year since I moved back to Colorado, I’ve become intimately familiar with the mechanical system of this house. I can instantly tell which sinks, toilets, showers are running in the house. I can easily distinguish the dish washer from the washer machine. I can feel the sump pump flushes before they happen. I know exactly how long you can run the hot water while washing your hands before it triggers the hot water heater. And I know that anytime the AC turns on, it means we ain’t recording SHIT for the next 20 minutes 😅 Thousands of retakes caused by this situation lol. There is a solution, I’m just not willing to pay for it.

@johnkrausphotos @amazing_physics Funny the algorithm is smart enough to put these in front of you everytime you open the app, but it’s not smart enough to automatically flag fake images.

I have a home gym in the same room as the green screen studio. Considering I only use that studio once every other month or so, all of my lifting happens while I’m recording on cam scenes. Sometimes you can literally see the difference between the first scene to the last scene. I don’t think anyone has ever noticed that though.

@CSI_Starbase But just think how much more engaging your hour long videos would be if you had a barbell on your shoulders and were doing squats whilst describing the intricate nature of flame deflector builds?

Yeah, I think it’s definitely worth showing the full progression. I could probably weave some of it into the outro, but a subscribers-only livestream after Part 4 feels like the ideal way to handle it. When a one-hour episode balloons into a 5.5-hour series, you end up with a ton of great behind-the-scenes stories that pile up along the way. A livestream would be the perfect place to share all those extras in a relaxed, fun setting once everything’s wrapped up

Many animations for the gas generators were completed back in December of last year and were waiting for Zack to put together his next episode. After a few months we realized those animations would need to be updated due to new findings. The new animations are far more complex due to my desire to fix the issues that I noticed with the previous animations and they turned out much better in terms of visual quality. I'm really excited for people to see these new animations!

@muskbro_kansas It’s all good though. I’ll just have to settle for looking like I’m wearing something way too large for me lol.
