How can you decide “let lapped cars through” But only let some through?

@learnsmartuk @RalphHosier @karlmccartney If you think hydrogen is “an answer provided only by big oil” you need to read more. They have formed partnerships to pivot their businesses, sure, but they are far from the only interested parties

We have to make it crystal clear that combustion engines do not have to mean fossil fuels! We all love our classic cars, and to continue to enjoy these magnificent machines we have to adapt and rise to the challenge. Synthetic fuels, bio fuels and hydrogen all have a place.

@MidgetPope @sodiumlights @anon_opin There are numerous companies, particularly in Europe (which has received better funding and is further advanced towards h2 adoption) that are ramping up production, and thereby reducing costs, of composite tanks for mobility applications

As a petrolhead, I have accepted the inevitability of the internal combustion engines demise. I cringe when I see fellow enthusiasts laugh reacting and rubbishing EV articles.

@MidgetPope @sodiumlights @anon_opin 2/3 correct. We have been safely and effectively storing h2 for decades; as a gas, as a liquid, and through conversion to compounds with a larger molecular structure.

@sodiumlights @anon_opin Hydrogen is a tricky one, we haven’t really licked storage, and far too much of the stuff still comes from methane. Fuel cell membranes aren’t without their environmental footprint and other shortcomings, and internal combustion is a bit limited. This could all change though.

@anon_opin It isn’t necessarily dead; Toyota have run ICE very successfully on hydrogen. The only emission is steam EVs are the future, but FCEV’s not BEV’s. Also, for the money, Teslas are woeful

@zerohedge It worked so great in 1840 so let’s give it a go again. We can’t people realize the nuclear is the real answer to our energy needs.

At this Capitol Heights facility, we’re using hydrogen fuel cells to power forklifts, pallet jacks, and tow motors. This project is saving an estimated 2.1 million kWhs annually – enough electricity to power 270 average homes for one year! Learn more at usps.com/green

1/Here is why $TSLA selling a fleet of cars to Hertz is a strong strategic move: First, Tesla doesn't pay for advertising. Tesla's best source of advertisement is all those beautiful cars rolling around on the street and their owners, who don't stop talking about their cars.

@HassiumQ Just like it was impossible to manufacture a Covid vaccine in a year - until it wasn’t. And it was impossible to go to the moon - until it wasn’t. And people would die if they went faster than a horse can gallop - until they didn’t.

First service station: chargers broken Second service station: only one charger working and being used Third service station: Fast charger only delivering slow charge If you think the fuel crisis is stressful wait until everything’s electric…

@dillzilla99 @tryingMybestIV @harrismonkey So that guy in the 1320 videos with the stripped Tesla. Uses 3% battery per 1/8th mile race. 3% = 1/8th 24% = 1 mile Do P100 Tesla’s have a range of under 5 miles?

Not sure if 7min35sec on the back of 1000hp (or whatever the crazy number is) is that impressive.
