Please, keep in mind that in this kind of photo, we’re seeing Sophie Turner shooting the series, not Lara Croft. If a blooper reel for the series exists, this could be a scene included in it, for example. Maybe she flubbed a take or made a little goof. Don’t rush to conclusions.

@BoyTombRaider it was a demo meant for the general public and given for free in a news paper, not an actual "gold level" like the previous TR. So imo it makes sens it's not super hard as it's made so people would want to buy the full game after that.

Finished The Times Exclusive Level for the first time (forgot this existed 😅). I was expecting a challenge like past bonus levels but it's surprisingly very easy & very short. I didn't even die once - got me paranoid saving constantly for nothing lol. It's still nice overall.

I’m not against the fun outfits but imagine if we got more level relevant outfits too, then the abilities could have been more specific. I dunno, this is just an idea I had while drawing and thinking about challenge mode, thought Lara would look cool in this haha

@DarioMac ha yeah maybe that's why I never noticed, the texture filtering probably blured out details !

@911TRLE Yeah, this is in TRX but the textures are default. TR3 uses way less pixels 😮 Probably not as noticeable with texture filtering on in the OG game engine.

@RgmIsLife That Atlas statue is taking inspiration from an outfit of the first movie. When we see Lara on a picture with some army guys, right before cambodia scenes I think.

So far ! The outfit is taking inspiration from "Ange des cieux" parachute-ish lara Atlas figure and Tomb raider legend ! The outfits are good. And i appreciate she does stunts. I like the ponytail. I hate issues seeing her as "lara" still. BUT the rest is good good :)

@coryqween it looks cool but she's still a sitting duck in that position lol. Also her legs would go through most of the walls in the game since ladders are almost always stuck on a wall.

@Tristanthefreak @HecklerTRF it looks cooler that way lol. TR6 had weight in her braid and it looked more realistic but it just look nicer to see the braid float in the wind imo

@HecklerTRF Beside the technical success to get this kind of hair into the engine, I find it odd how a lot of games design hair physics like that. Like long hair doesn't magically float once you start walking fast. Hair is kinda heavy, it's not toilet paper lmao

While optimizing the Catalyst hair tonight I had an idea as Lara's legacy hair object has perfect hinge segments with floaty physics that could hypothetically be compatible with a certain skinning technique I know. One thing led to another and we officially have Alice Madness Returns hair in TEN.. On TR4 Lara's Pigtails for now 😄

@CoreyOCroft Toby Gard left Core Design after TR1 to create this game, it was supposed to be as ground breaking as TR1 was. I think it was stuck in dev hell for so long it finally came out in 2004 and was terrible from what I heard. after that Toby Gard was back on TR7 with crystal.

Has anyone ever seen / heard of this? My brother got it to show me because it says “From the creator of Lara Croft” bless him 😂
