There's a project on the @Ronin_Network that meets all the criteria for success: - Mobile - Fast-paced short matches - Leaderboard with rewards - First mobile RTS The game I am talking about is @playwildforest, it's already live and it's F2P. If you want to be EARLY on this project and start collecting ASSETS, then here's everything you need to know. The Gameplay The gameplay is quite fun and fast-paced. You start with your castle, one or two slots to build and a swordsman which you can use to conquer more territories. By conquering territories you'll get more slots to build and expand. You can conquer both neutral territories or territories from your opponent. The circles on the ground are the building slots. Once they're blue they'll belong to you and you can build: - Barracks - Mines - Towers Barracks can be used to recruit new units. Mines give you mana over time which you need to recruit units. Towers provide defence. The goal is to take down the opponent's castle. Unit breakdown To each match you can bring up to 7 units: - 3 tier l units - 3 tier ll units - 1 tier lll unit Your strategy starts before each match when you set up your team. You can unlock and level units by opening chests. You can get chests by: - Climbing the leaderboard - Completing quests in the battlepass Units also have different rarities. The higher the rarity the stronger it is and the higher its level can be By experience, doing the quests of the battle pass is the fastest way to improve your team. Just go to the Battle pass, click on "tasks" and it will show you your quests. NFTs & Token As NFTs, Wild Forest will have: - Unit NFTs - Lords - Land Units will exist in the form of NFTs and you'll be able to trade them in the Ronin Marketplace. To fuse low-tier units into a higher tier (Ex: common to uncommon) of the same type you'll need the token $WF. Lords is an upcoming collection of 5,000 NFTs which will give you a bunch of benefits. You can read more about that in the tweet below: x.com/playwildforest… When it comes to Land it will be used for: - Resource Generation - NFT production - Crafting - Decorating. When it comes to NFTs and the token it's extremely early and there's not much info about these assets. The units players are unlocking during this phase aren't NFTs. But in return, the team will handout "special packs" for the amount of units you've unlocked and how far you've progressed. Tips I've been playing for a while, so here are a few tips to speed up your growth: Capture territories as fast as possible This should be your main focus in the first seconds. If there's a territory with 1 building node and another with 2, capture the territory with 2 first. Build barracks first You need to get your 2nd unit out as fast as possible. This will allow you to capture more territories faster. Counter your opponent Check which units your opponent is putting out and try to counter that. As an example, skeletons counter pikeman. Use the day/night cycle If you're thinking about changing your strategy do it during night time. This will allow you to surprise your opponent. Overall As an RTS lover I've been having quite some fun with Wild Forest. Plus, it being part of the #RON fam is a great green flag. If you also love strategy this is one of the best games to be playing in Web3.
