Chaman Phatak Attack in Quetta Leaves 14 Martyred, Several Injured
A terrorist attack at Chaman Phatak in Quetta has martyred 14 people so far, including three Frontier Corps personnel, with several others wounded. The blast affected women, children, and ordinary passengers, underscoring that civilians were deliberately targeted.
Officials say the attack reflects the approach of anti-Pakistan proxy groups that avoid direct confrontation and instead strike soft civilian targets to spread fear and disrupt stability. The timing, they note, comes during a period when conditions in the region had been improving.
Security forces and law enforcement reached the site immediately, sealed the area, and began investigations. Efforts are ongoing to identify and pursue those who facilitated and carried out the attack. The deaths of the FC personnel while protecting civilians are being highlighted as part of the continued sacrifices made by Pakistan’s security forces against externally supported violence.
Authorities state that such acts will not break public resolve. They add that the people of Pakistan, and especially Balochistan, continue to reject terrorism and stand with the state and its institutions against those who seek to undermine peace and stability.
