An official from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said the minimum age for participation in war-related support roles has been lowered to 12, according to remarks aired on state media.
Rahim Nadali, a cultural official with the Guards in Tehran, said an initiative called “For Iran” was recruiting participants to assist with activities such as patrols, checkpoints and logistics.
“Given that the age of those coming forward has dropped and they are asking to take part, we lowered the minimum age to 12,” he said, adding that 12- and 13-year-olds could now take part if they wished.
The comments were broadcast as part of state coverage of the war effort.
The move comes despite Iran’s commitments under the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which prohibits the use of children in military activities.

Part of the ongoing clashes in Southern Lebanon between Hezbollah and the "israeli" enemy army have reached the entrance of the town of Qantara, which is not directly on the border. Some people are using this to portray an advancement for the "israeli" enemy in the South. However, it is important to note that, contrary to the 2024 war, the border towns were not occupied, whereas now, the "israeli" enemy had occupied over 8 points in different border towns during the 15-month period, which means that the towns that were "second in line" before became closer to the enemy’s positions. Second, these events also do not differ a lot from others of their sort, and the enemy has not been able to maintain any advancement they have made across the axes they have attempted advancing from.
Bottom line is, follow the Resistance statements where the truth is shared, and where human minds and dignity are respected. Do not fall for Zionist propaganda.
