@AnfieldEdition@JamesPearceLFC So we need to sabotage this season in order to get this guy out of the team, hence increasing our chance of competing for trophies next season. Got it.
🥇| @JamesPearceLFC: FSG wants to give Arne Slot the chance to put things right next season, but that position will be untenable if the campaign completely unravels in the coming weeks.
@henrywinter Why not get an interim and hope for a new manager bound for the last few games? Surely it cant be worse that what we have been showing for the whole season. We have no chance playing like this away at Everton MU Villa and get results.
Sight of so many Liverpool fans leaving the Etihad early was telling and very damaging for Arne Slot. Usually defiant fans now voting with their feet. Understandable frustration: results poor, performances poorer, stars fading, team drifting, manager struggling.
Slot rightly has some remaining credit in the bank because of last season but he has to get Liverpool into the Champions League either through winning it - unlikely as PSG up next - or league finish - not easy with Everton, Manchester United and Villa away. Champions League qualification is vital to owners. Huge financial return. Whatever happens against PSG, the decision on Slot’s future should be taken in the summer - when CL future decided. #LFC
Little bit of analysis on Slot:
His 4-4-2 OOP set-up is man-oriented but poorly coached.
Look how easy the opposition get out and look how half-arsed the man-marking is.
Not a good sign.
@Corballyred He was a football guru who reinvented transfer recruitment. But everyone catches up with all of those data based recruitment and stuff. Then he left his job for a few years and now coming back he suddenly looks like a shamble.
Have you ever seen a reputation collapse so fast in football as Michael Edwards?
He was hailed as a football guru who reinvented transfer recruitment, completed the transfer market, and was main person behind Klopp's success.
Now, after spending £440m & making the team worse while leaving an out of depth manager in charge, he looks like a shambles.
Moral of the story: Klopp was the real genius all along 👍
Can't wait to see them all sitting at that coffee bar at the AXA next few days laughing and joking swigging fancy cappuccinos and white chocolate matcha 💅🏼 training? Nah none of that shit.
HT: Man City 2 #LFC 0: Liverpool walk off looking shellshocked. Better team for most of the first half but failed to make it count and then familiar failings cost them dear. Haaland fired City ahead from the spot and then struck again when he got the better of Konate.
@Benny_talks@AnfieldSector Lmao literally getting played through middle at least 3 times due to poor pressing structure, no build up pattern just long ball long ball and long ball but yeah "set up well".
@LFCGoatBall@Tintin04110411@AnfieldSector Cant press for shit, get penetrated easy through middle, cant build up only long ball and pray but yeah its not Slot fault?
[🟢] NEW: Liverpool remain in talks with Dominik Szoboszlai’s representatives to secure a deal that is in line with the progress he has made since he joined in the summer of 2023.
Szoboszlai was keen to steer clear of muddying the waters further on that front but negotiations are ongoing and it is understood he is eager to extend his stay for the long term.

@JamesPearceLFC Mamar needs to step up now, time to prove his value. His defense should help tho cant constanly making mistakes like the last few games
@LiverpoolZNE@_pauljoyce Barcelona with technicals destroy one of the best physical team in the prem Newcastle. The problem has never been having to much technicals, its the coach that couldnt set up a proper structure and no ideas how to make the best out of his players. Imagine Flick with this team
🚨🔴 Slot, Hughes, and Edwards prioritized technical recruits like Wirtz and Isak, but the plan failed as the Premier League became more physical.
The squad has proven too weak to handle the league's shift toward a high-intensity, athletic battleground.
(@_pauljoyce)
@AnfieldSector Everything is already torn apart what is there to rip? The club is a mess, key figures leaving on free or only have 1 year left, sporting director/ceo of football almost out of contract and looking at Saudi money. Coach is pathetic, incompetent and football is souless.
[🚨] NEW: FSG does not want to rip things up and start again this summer. Senior club figures have distanced themselves from suggestions that Slot is effectively on trial between now and the end of the season. They insist that no specific targets have been set to secure his job.
