The whole “we don’t need the same story” / “we already know what happens” argument is so stupid. That’s literally what adaptations do: translate a story into another medium. Nobody watches adaptations of their favorite books, comics, or plays because they forgot the fucking plot.

Yes it's despicable and it's tough to believe anything he says now, it's unclear if he's just lying or if he's disconnected from the series. It's so frustrating to be told "Oh I'm a huge fan of the series" then everything they show shows that they have no idea about the series. Didn't he also say this movie was happening whether it had RE in the title or not? Sounds like it's just a movie he was making and then Capcom said hey slap our name on it.

“Early access” ≠ no more drops. Feels like they’ll still do regular releases—just with less supply. But bigger issue… The hobby is killing its own future: • Overpriced sealed • Singles at absurd prices • 8+ hour lines for restocks • Timeline full of fights + grown adults clearing shelves That’s not appealing to the average buyer. And if this turns into a true random lottery? We’ve seen how that goes: Bots eat supply → prices explode → average collectors get pushed out. Sports cards already went down that path with most hobby boxes. If PC ETBs go full random… don’t be surprised when $300+ becomes the norm for bad PC ETBs.
