There is a Congolese guy here in Perth who exports Mattresses to the DRC..and the best part is that he gets them for free. In Perth the only way to dispose of your mattress is to put it on your verge during the local council collection period (Once a year) or you have to pay someone to dispose it for you. People here change their mattresses every five years or so. This Congolese guy just hires a lorry during the mattress collection period and drives around the wealthy suburbs to pick up the mattresses before the local councils collect them for disposal. He packs them in containers and ships them to the DRC. The guy aslo picks up leather lounge chairs that are thrown out and ships them to the DRC. He is minting!!
