Unfortunately @EmmaLewellBuck and @KateOsborneMP abstained. Wasn't too long ago they were both knocking on the doors of the very people they have let down today.

@EmmaLewellBuck @shieldsgazette I assume due to your concerns you are voting against this tonight along with Kate Osbourne?

@jackm1892 Mainoo looks the real deal as well. Might be young but got to be worth getting him in ahead of henderson

@armsblythov_40 Exactly this! But it's too much common sense for most.

We are 9th in the league
We pay the 9th highest wages in the league
We are playing exactly to our levels
Things will change when we up the level of player / wage / quality
It’s not rocket science

Tough period for Newcastle. They're clearly depleted and running on empty.
But there's no signs whatsoever that Eddie Howe is out of his depth.
He's calm and collected as ever. Unruffled, responding quickly to any question thrown his way with real depth and clarity.
So speculation about his future is ludicrous as far as I'm concerned.
Yes, football is a results business. But Newcastle are way ahead of schedule on that score.
Howe should have plenty of credit in the bank.
Forget how much money they've spent. The Geordies had no right to expect a product that was so polished and cohesive so quickly.
History isn't linear. It doesn't crawl, it jumps.
They had a clear run for a while, have sampled life at the top table, and now they're regressing to some sort of mean.
Where they are right now is probably more in line with where they should be two years down the road.
But they will re-emerge stonger and more robust when they come through this period. Better for the experience.
The worst thing they can do right now is trade in Howe's future compound effects for the short-term sensation of something new and different.
This is the philosophical test of character that confronts every ownership regime at some point.
Most fail that test nowadays because they operate from a place of scarcity and the consequences of potential downsides loom larger than the upsides.
But Newcastle have the luxury of abundance, which should foster an abundance mindset.
Not only do they have money but they should also have time. Honestly, what's the rush?
Once a manager has proof of concept, which Howe does, then his position should only come under threat when there's clear signs that the pressure is getting to him or he's behaving out of character.
It's not inconceivable that Newcastle lose to Sunderland this weekend and - painful though that would be - it shouldn't make a blind bit of difference.
The damage that Howe's dismissal might have on the culture of that dressing room in the coming years is much greater than anything that really needs to be 'fixed' right now.

@JohnGal43689651 Honestly thought it was a wind up John. There's not another manager in world football who's transformed as many bang average players as him. Get everyone fit and we're just as likely to go another good rib in the new year. Starting with the mackems 👀

@9GarethDobson Tbh pal , think his times up love wot he’s done for us , but last couple months when backs to wall doesn’t no how change tactics , fact dropped are best performing full back today just says it all , it’s shame but tactics just not good enough .

@HowesTheBacon Thought the same, felt like he took the easy option. Miley was playing much better than longstaff
English

Was Lewi Miley injured today? If not, why was he subbed on 30 mins? Arguably playing better than Longy in there. I love Eddie but he might have got this call wrong. #NUFC

@AlanColeman86 Can't see it happening but would love Olise. Massive upgrade just for the fact that he's got 2 feet

@Bully_HVFC I enjoy every minute of their suffering Bully. Never got over that 1-0 cantona win. Frightening how poor they are for how much they've spent!
English

The worst thing is, I’ve took 2-1 West Ham here with absolutely no basis of who might score a goal for Man Utd 😬
Bully@Bully_HVFC
Man Utd’s squad is absolutely tragic for all the money spent. Their body language here looks like a team waiting to be beaten. Que, comfortably win inbound…
