Newcastle's Jacob Ramsey should not have received a second yellow card in the Magpies' 2-1 win over Manchester United at St James' Park. Ramsey was booked for simulation, but the KMI Panel voted 3:2 this was incorrect. #NUFC bbc.co.uk/sport/football…

Liam Rosenior has criticised referee Paul Tierney for interfering with Chelsea’s pre-match team huddle around the centre circle before their 1-0 defeat against Newcastle at Stamford Bridge. In surreal scenes shortly before kick-off on Saturday, the Chelsea players repeated their new ritual of huddling around the match ball and around Tierney, who declined to leave the centre circle as TV cameras panned around, with Cole Palmer jokingly hugging the official before captain Reece James appeared to tell his teammate to stop. After the match, which was settled in Newcastle’s favour by Anthony Gordon’s goal in the 18th minute, an exasperated Rosenior was in no mood to laugh about the incident. @northern_uproar Agree mate. I’d also say Trippier - the lad is an old timer but he’s played a couple of blinders lately

Lewis Hall rightly getting the plaudits for last night - he was absolutely class. Always is. But I thought Joelinton was fantastic too - gliding around the pitch shutting everyone down. Like his old self.

@MarcSDuffy Special mention to Jacob Ramsey whilst we’re here as well. Another outstanding performance in the CL from him too.

@sinceApril1970 Aye. Ekitike would’ve been the one. Sesko has one more goal than Woltemade. The first Wissa bid went in on 23 July so he was obviously a top priority. Bids for Strand Larsen and Delap too

Pretty frustrating - Barcelona were so poor it feels like an opportunity missed. If we’d spent some of that £250m+ on a relatively competent and well suited striker in the summer we could’ve been going over there next week with a healthy lead Still all to play for
