Spirit also didn’t fail because of the merger block. Industry analysts agree it failed because costs rose and larger airlines learned to compete with its model. Had Spirit Airlines been allowed to merge with Jet Blue, it would have given them much more resiliency.   Thanks to @SenWarren, @PeteButtigieg, and all of their friends in the Biden Administration who backed their enthusiastic opposition to the Spirit-Jet Blue merger, dozens of regional airports will now lose service and thousands of jobs will now be lost.

@dantypo It became a career wage when employers use it to justify not paying an employee more money by threatening to replace them with the next $7.25/hr. applicant. College isn't for all nor is it financially viable for many and even graduates are having difficulty finding jobs.
